Day 2
6 March, Wednesday

10:00 – 12:00 Yin yoga session
A Yin yoga session is a wonderful choice for nourishing your bones and deep tissues, as well as preparing your body for an upcoming tour. Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that involves holding passive poses for an extended period of time, typically between 3 to 5 minutes or even longer. This session is designed with a focus on poses that target areas of your body that are particularly affected by travel, such as the hips, lower back, and shoulders. To enhance its restorative benefits, we will incorporate deep breathing and relaxation techniques throughout the session.

06:30 – 10:00 Driving to Manapouri.
10:00 – 10:30 Cruise check-in.
10:30 – 17:30 Doubtful Sound Scenic Cruise, lunch is included
Doubtful Sound is a beautiful fiord; three times longer than Milford Sound and a surface area ten times larger with twisting arms. With its rugged peaks, verdant rainforest and twisting, hidden inlets, Doubtful Sound will take your breath away. There’s no direct road access, so the only way you can to get to Doubtful Sound is a cruise across the picturesque Lake Manapouri, followed by a bus trip over Wilmot Pass - New Zealand's most expensive (and majestic) road. We’ll pause along the way to experience the dense Fiordland rainforest and view Doubtful Sound glistening below. This isolation makes this fiord a very special place, only those who know about it get to see. Once you arrive, you will board the Patea Explorer for an approximately 3 hour cruise on Doubtful Sound - a spectacular pristine fiord. During the cruise, knowledgeable and friendly skipper or nature guide will share with you their passion for the region. They’re always ready to answer questions, point out landmarks and provide all the information about the varied wildlife you may see, including dolphins, fur seals, and the rare Fiordland crested penguin.
18:00 – 19:30 Dinner (own expenses).
20:00 – 21:00 Yoga Nidra practice.
During this session, you will be guided through a transformative Yoga Nidra meditation. Yoga Nidra, often called "Yogic Sleep," is a profound practice that induces deep relaxation while maintaining full awareness. It's a journey within, allowing you to release tension, reduce stress, and access a state of profound tranquility. During a Yoga Nidra session, you enter a state of heightened receptivity and suggestibility, making it an ideal time to work with your intention or Sankalpa in Sanskrit. The repetition of your Sankalpa during Yoga Nidra serves to reinforce and deepen your connection to your intention at a subconscious level. Your Sankalpa can be related to any aspect of your life where you seek positive change, such as health, relationships, personal development, or spiritual growth. By consistently incorporating your Sankalpa into your Yoga Nidra practice, you are harnessing the power of deep relaxation and goal-setting to bring about meaningful transformations in your life. What makes this experience truly magical is the addition of the resonant tones of singing bowls and the melodious chimes of Koshi bells. These harmonious sounds will guide you deeper into the practice, creating a symphony of peace and serenity that will envelop your senses.

About the yoga master
Hello, I am Ksenia - a certified specialist in Hatha yoga, pranayama, and meditation. I have been practicing for over 15 years and it has changed me for the better. I will be happy to share the magic of spiritual practices with you and become your guide!

My story
My yoga journey began almost 20 years ago when I bought my first book on yoga with the hope to heal my back. At the time I was suffering severe back pains after many years of performing in a circus. I was very determined and did my practice every day. After a year I noticed a shift in my mind and my body was free of pain. That change was delightful and I continued my sadhana at home, in different studious and in India. Only after many years of personal practice, I decided that it was time to structure my knowledge and share it with others, so in 2013 I completed my 200-hour teacher training. Since then I was teaching on and off until I finally took my passion to a full-time job three years ago. I love teaching Hatha flow with detailed alignments and freedom for self-expression. My style is about the connection of the body, the mind, and the soul. My classes include pranayama, meditation, and savasana to have this wrapped-up experience.
