Known as the 'City of Sails', NZ's largest city is built on the edge of the Hauraki Gulf, and is frequently voted among the world's most liveable cities. In 2016 it was third in the world. A diverse and multicultural city, it is one of the few in the world to have harbours in two distinctly separate oceans, the Pacific and the Tasman sea, less than a couple of kilometres apart. A vibrant destination & NZ's largest city, there's always something happening, from world-class sporting events to major concerts, and always something to see, from the soaring Sky Tower to the beautiful Waitemata Harbour & Bridge. With international shopping, world-beating cuisine, parks, volcanoes, islands, beaches and more, you have to Just Go There!
