Excursion Includes: A return scenic cruise from Queenstown Bay, across stunning Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on our vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, a farm demonstration and a delicious Gourmet BBQ Lunch served at the Colonel’s Homestead. 
Enjoy a unique dining experience at Walter Peak where the menu showcases food and wine from the wider Central Otago region. Chefs prepare a tasty selection of meats on the outdoor grill, while fresh, seasonal salads and vegetables are available from the dining area of the Colonel’s Homestead. Top off lunch with a selection of delicious sweet treats and local cheeses. Before or after lunch, the rural demonstrator will give guests an insight into life in the New Zealand high country by providing an entertaining farm show including working sheep dogs and sheep shearing. 
Please note: Passengers are welcome to stay on at Walter Peak and connect with the next TSS Earnslaw sailing to Queenstown (2 hours later). 
What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, waterproof jacket and warm clothing. 
BBQ Lunch Menu (indicative): Fresh breads baked daily onsite; fresh salads including quinoa salad, new potato salad, beetroot salad and garden fresh salads, vegetarian tart of the day, herb crusted butternut squash, buttered potatoes and other seasonal vegetables. An outdoor grill consisting of spiced chicken, shoulder of pork, Cardrona lamb, local Zamora sausage and Southland beef; a selection of desserts including chocolate mousse, cakes, ice cream, fruit and cheese platters. Freshly brewed tea and coffee is included.
