Heli Tour to Doubtful & Milford Sounds from Queenstown
Experience the best of both sounds with this Doubtful and Milford Sound heli-tour. Begin by soaring over the beautiful Remarkables Mountain Range and past Lake Wakatipu on your southern journey to Lake Te Anau. The World Heritage-listed Fiordland National Park stretches out before you as you head out to Doubtful Sound, covered in rainforest and mountains. A truly magical place. Then its time to head north to the more famous of the two sounds, the picturesque Milford Sound, for more stunning scenery. Onwards and upwards you'll travel past Lake Quill and the second highest waterfall in New Zealand, Sutherland Falls, before heading from the rugged western coastline to the inland waterfalls of Lady Bowen Falls and Stirling Falls. Fiordland's highest peak, Mt Tutoko is up next, followed by the Hollyford Valley. Your exclusive landing in the Earnslaw Burn wraps up your incredible adventure, and is a true highlight. From the bottom of the Earnslaw Burn you can gaze up at the hanging glacier, pocketed with waterfalls, and breathe in the fresh, clean air. Your final leg takes you across the Richardson Mountains and Shotover River, before landing back at the hangar.
