Auckland City Sights and Waiheke Wine Tour
Experience some of the history, culture and scenic highlights of Auckland on this tour, followed by an afternoon tasting world-class wines in the gorgeous surroundings of Waiheke Island, after a memorable trip across Waitemata Harbour. Leaving at 9:45am, the tour takes you along famous Queen Street, edgy ‘K’ Road, fashionable Ponsonby, boutique Parnell (where you will briefly stop) as well as the iconic Harbour Bridge & Viaduct Harbour with its revitalised Silo Park. You’ll also visit the Domain, the 75 hectare historic park home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Just above Mission Bay is one of the scenic highlights: Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park which offers stunning views over the picturesque Eastern Bays, Auckland City and the Waitemata Harbour.
Following your morning tour, enjoy a 40 minute ferry ride in air-conditioned comfort to Waiheke Island, where the magical blend of beach life, artisan creativity and wine culture attracts people worldwide. You’ll be met by luxury coach & whisked away to enjoy a tour of three of Waiheke’s premier wineries. Breath in the stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf back to Auckland from Cable Bay as you sample their fine wines, accompanied by a delicious platter. Lastly, overlooking beautiful Onetangi Beach, Te Motu Vineyard specialises in Bordeaux-style wines. The tour concludes at Waiheke’s Matiatia Wharf for a picturesque afternoon cruise back to Auckland city, arriving back at 17:30.
