Abel Tasman Kayaking: The Two Gods (Unguided Walk)
Feel the power of the Sea and Forest Gods on this harrowing adventure. Enjoy a scenic 1hr 15 min scenic water taxi ride to Tonga Island, where you will be in the presence of Tangaroa, God of the Sea as you kayak along the coastline of the Tonga Island Marine Reserve, getting up close and personal to the New Zealand fur seals and little blue penguins that inhabit the island and its waters (approx. 1.5hrs). Then wander into the lush realm of the mighty Tane Mahuta, God of the Forest, and enjoy the natural beauty of our native bush as you walk from Onetahuti to Bark Bay (approx. 2.5hrs). Return to Marahau via 30 minute water taxi to finish your moving and memorable experience, that you will remember for years to come.

Tour is available each day from the 1st of October until the 30th of April. It starts at 08:30 am.
Available only for people 12 years old and over.
Complimentary lunch is provided, and each guest will have use of a top quality double or single kayak, lifejacket, paddle, spray shirt, paddle jacket, dry bags to keep your camera safe, a detailed map and a full safety briefing with a qualified guide. Make sure you pack your own water bottle, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, towel, swimsuit, wool or fleece jumper, wind jacket, change or clothes, camera and any medication to ensure you have an awesome time.
Kayak: Awaroa - Onetahuti. Approx 1.5hrs interspersed with breaks.
Unguided walk: Onetahuti – Bark Bay. Approx 2.5 hours.
Water Taxi: x2 Approx 1hr15/30 mins
